CSE has partnered with the national policy think tank NITI Aayog for a pan India study to document the best practices in Solid Waste Management. The study has dived deep into sector specific aspects of solid waste management and capture how the stand out performers have paved the way to do things differently. The objective of the study is very well aligned with CSE’s “Forum of Cities that Segregate” meant for creating a common platform for cities to interact among themselves and learn from each other by sharing the best practices. The learning from the CSE-NITI study has been instrumental to reinforce to the forum of cities in terms of learning and collaboration. These cities identified for the study with NITI Aayog have been the best places for capacity building of forum cities through exposure visit the experience sharing.
The report was released on December 6, 2021 by Vice Chairperson, NITI Aayog and others. Following the release, the findings has been showcased with all the states in capacity building and advocacy events.
