Effective plastic waste management to tackle plastic pollution | 30 June 2022

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, under the India-Norway Marine Pollution Initiative, organized a virtual workshop on “Effective Plastic Waste Management to Tackle Plastic Pollution” on 30th June 2022. The agenda for the workshop was appropriately designed to carry out discussions related to plastics waste management at national and city levels, drawing upon experiences in both India and Norway. The workshop witnessed participation of more than 200 representatives from various state pollution control boards, urban local bodies, state level urban departments, research institutes, international agencies, and civil society organizations.
