Outcome

OPTOCE will Investigate involvement of energy intensive industries (cement, manufacturing) to increase the treatment capacity for Non- Recyclable Plastic Wastes in 5 Asian countries (China, India, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam) in the region. 

In line with this objective, the expected outcomes of the interventions are:
  • Plastic recovery contributes to improved resource efficiency and circular economy,
  • Private sector’s involvement and performance in environmentally sound waste management is improved,
  • Awareness about the need for sound plastic waste management are strengthened in the partner countries.
