Outcome

OPTOCE will Investigate involvement of energy intensive industries (cement, manufacturing) to increase the treatment capacity for Non- Recyclable Plastic Wastes in 5 Asian countries (China, India, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam) in the region.

In line with this objective, the expected outcomes of the interventions are:

Plastic recovery contributes to improved resource efficiency and circular economy,
Private sector’s involvement and performance in environmentally sound waste management is improved,
Awareness about the need for sound plastic waste management are strengthened in the partner countries.
